BIMx & The Porsche Design Tower: live webinar

GRAPHISOFT’s upcoming online seminar will feature BIMx for ArchiCAD 16 with a unique real-life project case study. The webinar will run on September 25 in three different time zones and two different languages. Please find the registration page on our official website.

“…see how Archiform 3D used GRAPHISOFT BIMx to create, render and animate this 57-story ultra-luxury tower. This tower will showcase a one-of-a-kind robotic parking system, allowing owners to park their vehicles in sky garages directly next to their units…”

Attend this webinar and…

  • Hear Steve Bell discuss how Archiform 3D leveraged the power of GRAPHISOFT BIMx in creating, rendering and animating the Porsche Design Tower.
  • Learn about GRAPHISOFT “cloud” solutions and the BIMx advantage for designers and clients.
  • See a live demonstration presenting this innovative building in ArchiCAD 16, creating the BIMx project, and presenting it on a tablet device.
  • Participate in a live Q&A session
  • And more!

architectural visualisation made easy in R14: new C4D camera matching feature

Wouldn’t it be great to take a photo and have your model elements behave as real 3D elements in the scene created by the photo? ie. A background photo that you take, becomes a real 3D scene, no modeling required, just drop in your model and move it around the 3D photographic scene, with correct perspective.

It is possible…it is called camera matching and it is available in C4D R14!

Match your 3D camera to virtually any image with the Camera Calibrator in CINEMA 4D R14. Simply draw lines or grids on top of the image, and the vanishing point, focal length and orientation of the camera will be calculated. Add a pin to solve the camera’s position, and set the scene scale by adding known lengths for any line. Quickly create a background object, or generate a camera mapping tag to begin using the image as part of a matte environment.

SA Architects featured in GRAPHISOFT Sustainable design live online seminar

South African architects and ArchiCAD users, Klerck Architects , are the featured project architects in the next GRAPHISOFT sustainable design live online seminar on 1 December 2011.
For all the details on the project and the webinar, including times and registration, visit the event page.

The Klerck Architects MALL project was featured at the July 2011 Green Building Conference, commercial design charette, offering both significant project size and design complexity to the sustainability question. The webinar will explore aspects of sustainable design from the perspective of BIM model analysis in a unique live simulation context.

WAN awards 2011 – ArchiCAD 15

The new ArchiCAD 15 version – announced May 3, 2011 – enriches architectural forms available for designers to unleash their creative minds. The versatile new Tools (Shells, Complex Roofs) not only support a wide range of shapes and element geometries, but also keep them in the BIM realm by using real structures and element connections. This approach supports designers all the way through the final steps of the design and documentation process.
